Our client, a reputable car dealership located in Kidlington, Oxfordshire, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Permanent Vehicle Technician to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for automotive technology and a desire to contribute to a dealership that values expertise and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a range of vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake replacements, and tire rotations.
- Utilize diagnostic equipment to identify issues and recommend solutions effectively.
- Maintain accurate records of all work performed and communicate findings to the service team and customers.
- Stay up to date with the latest automotive technology and industry trends.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and dealership policies.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Proven experience as a vehicle technician or similar role, preferably in a dealership environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of automotive systems and components.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 NVQ in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
