Our client, a well-established independent garage based in the Croydon area, is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Vehicle Technician to join their professional team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide variety of vehicle repairs and servicing tasks within a busy, well-equipped workshop. You will ensure vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, working efficiently and accurately to meet clients’ expectations. The role requires a technician who is proactive, reliable, and capable of working independently while also being a team player. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct routine servicing and maintenance on a diverse range of vehicles.

Diagnose and repair faults using modern diagnostic equipment and techniques.

Attend to vehicle inspections and issue repair estimates in a clear and professional manner.

Ensure all work is completed to manufacture standards and complies with health and safety regulations.

Maintain accurate records of work carried out for each vehicle.

Assist in identifying potential issues and providing solutions to clients.

Work efficiently to meet deadlines while maintaining high quality of workmanship.
Skills & Experience Required:

Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally within an independent garage setting.

Competence in performing vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and servicing.

Level 2 or Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Repair qualification (or equivalent).

Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic tools.

Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.

Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work independently.

Good communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
