    Salary: £27,000/£28,000 starting salary 
    Hours: Monday -Friday 8.30-5.30 (early finish on a Friday)

    About Us:
    My client is a leading business in the restoration and care of premium classic cars, dedicated to delivering the highest standard of work for one of the world’s most prestigious brands. Their business is proud to be home to an onsite upholstery department, with an expert team of professionals who work tirelessly to restore these iconic vehicles to their original glory. Based in Hatfield, they have built a reputation for excellence, and are now looking to add a talented and passionate Trainee Upholsterer to their team.
     
    Role Overview:
    This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to begin a career in the art of automotive upholstery. You will receive hands-on training and mentorship from one of the industry’s most experienced upholsterers. In this role, you will be involved in a wide range of tasks, learning how to restore and upholster various components of classic cars to the highest standard.
     
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the restoration and upholstery of classic car interiors.
    • Learn and apply a variety of techniques to upholster seats, door panels, dashboards, and trim pieces.
    • Work closely with the Senior Upholsterer to gain knowledge of materials, tools, and craftsmanship.
    • Help maintain and organise the workshop environment, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
    • Develop a strong understanding of the intricacies of premium car brands and the importance of attention to detail.
    • Work alongside a passionate and talented team, contributing to the overall success of the business.
    What We’re Looking For:
    • No prior experience necessary, but a genuine passion for classic cars and craftsmanship is essential.
    • Strong attention to detail, with a desire to learn and improve your skills.
    • A positive, can-do attitude, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
    • Excellent hand-eye coordination and a steady hand.
    • A willingness to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment.
    • Good communication skills and a professional approach to work.
