Hours: Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm - Occasional Saturday Required
Our client is a highly respected independent garage located in Medway, Kent, renowned for providing top-notch automotive services and repairs. With a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction, they are now seeking an experienced and motivated Workshop Manager to lead their skilled team.
The Role:
As Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the garage, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently, to the highest standards, and in line with customer expectations. Your role will involve managing a team of skilled technicians, maintaining an organized and productive workshop, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and manage the workshop team to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.

Allocate jobs efficiently to technicians, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.

Uphold quality control and ensure all work meets high standards.

Monitor workshop performance, achieving KPIs for efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Manage stock, tools, and equipment, ensuring they are available and in good condition.

Ensure compliance with health and safety standards within the workshop.

Liaise with customers as needed, providing updates and managing expectations.
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in a similar role within the automotive industry, ideally in a garage or workshop environment.

Excellent technical knowledge of vehicle repairs and maintenance procedures.

Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate.

Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.

Strong communication skills, with a customer-focused approach.

A relevant qualification in automotive technology or equivalent experience (desirable).
