Monday Matters Recruitment is working with a well-established main car dealership in Canterbury, Kent, to recruit an enthusiastic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join their busy aftersales team.
Motor trade experience is NOT essential. We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have a strong background in customer service, sales, hospitality, retail, call centres or other customer-facing environments and are looking to take the next step into the automotive industry.
The Role:
As a Service Advisor, you will be the main point of contact for customers throughout their vehicle's service and repair journey. You will build strong customer relationships, understand their requirements and ensure they receive an excellent level of service from start to finish.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers into the dealership and understanding their requirements
- Booking vehicles into the workshop for servicing, repairs and maintenance
- Keeping customers updated throughout the repair process
- Preparing and explaining repair estimates and invoices
- Liaising closely with technicians and the workshop team
- Identifying additional work and opportunities to enhance the customer experience
- Handling customer queries professionally and efficiently
- Ensuring every customer receives a high standard of service
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is confident, personable and genuinely enjoys dealing with people. You could currently be working as a:
- Customer Service Advisor
- Retail or Sales Advisor
- Account Manager
- Receptionist
- Hospitality Professional
- Call Centre Advisor
- Customer Success Advisor
- Service Coordinator
- Or in another customer-facing role
What's most important is your attitude, communication skills and desire to build a career within the automotive industry. You will need to be organised, confident speaking to customers and comfortable working in a busy environment. Full training will be provided on the automotive side of the role.
