Our client, a reputable and forward-thinking main dealer based in Canterbury, Kent, is seeking to appoint an Aftersales Manager to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for an Aftersales Manager — or a Senior Service Advisor/ Assistant Service Manager/ Workshop Controller ready to step up into a management position — to join a forward-thinking dealer group.
You will oversee the Service and Parts departments, ensuring efficient operations, high customer satisfaction and strong financial performance. The role involves leading a motivated team, driving process improvements, and maintaining compliance with manufacturer and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage the entire aftersales process to ensure high-quality customer service and efficient operations.

Lead, motivate, and develop the aftersales team to meet and exceed service targets.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are understood and addressed promptly.

Monitor key performance indicators and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth coordination and communication across the business.

Manage aftersales budgets, forecasts, and reporting to support business objectives.

Handle escalations and resolve complex customer issues effectively and professionally.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices to enhance service delivery.
Skills & Experience Required:

Excellent leadership and team management skills.

Strong customer service orientation and ability to build lasting client relationships.

Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Good understanding of KPIs and ability to utilise data to improve service performance.

Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Knowledge of the automotive or relevant service industry is highly desirable.
